About Counterpoint

A platform for navigating complexity and advancing change.

Counterpoint is an advisory and thought platform that works at the intersection of health, gender, climate, and development.

Health Gender Climate Development

Built for complex work

Founded by Medha Gandhi, Counterpoint brings together deep practitioner experience, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem-solving to help institutions navigate complex challenges and translate evidence into action.

Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful and lasting change rarely emerges from a single perspective. It is built through dialogue, partnership, and the ability to connect ideas, institutions, and people around shared goals.

Why Counterpoint

When challenges are interconnected, strategy has to connect people too.

Today's social challenges are increasingly interconnected. Health outcomes are shaped by gender norms. Climate impacts affect health systems and livelihoods. Progress often depends on the ability of diverse stakeholders to work together across sectors and disciplines.

Counterpoint was established to support this kind of work.

We help partners make sense of complexity, identify opportunities for alignment, and build pathways that are grounded in evidence, informed by experience, and responsive to context.

How We Work

Clear thinking, shared ownership, durable pathways.

01

Evidence & Insight

We combine research, analysis, and practitioner experience to understand challenges and identify pathways for action.

02

Co-creation & Partnership

We believe solutions are strongest when they are developed collaboratively. Our approach centres dialogue, trust, and shared ownership.

03

Systems Thinking

Complex challenges require more than isolated interventions. We work with partners to understand relationships, incentives, and structures that shape long-term outcomes.

Our Network

Expertise that flexes around each engagement.

Counterpoint operates through a collaborative network of experienced practitioners, advisors, researchers, and sector leaders.

This model allows us to bring together diverse expertise and perspectives tailored to the needs of each engagement while maintaining the agility and responsiveness of a small practice.

Our collaborators have worked across government, philanthropy, academia, civil society, multilateral institutions, and the private sector.
